BlackLight Community's Creative & Collaborative Producing pillar, where individuals of color gather to cultivate and expand upon the vibrant communities they've individually nurtured. Our mission is to provide a supportive platform for artists from diverse backgrounds to come together, connect, and collaborate, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment within the entertainment industry.

Artist Database Program:
BlackLight Community operates an Artist Database Program designed to facilitate connections and collaborations within the entertainment industry. This program serves as a centralized repository for the profiles and contact information of artists from diverse backgrounds, including actors, directors, writers, producers, and other creative professionals. The Artist Database Program enables efficient access to a wide range of talent for production teams and industry professionals seeking to hire individuals for various projects. The database streamlines the process of identifying suitable candidates for specific roles or opportunities. Moreover, the program fosters inclusivity and diversity by actively seeking to represent artists from underrepresented communities, including people of color (POC), LGBTQ+ individuals, and individuals with disabilities. This commitment to diversity ensures that the database reflects the rich tapestry of talent within the entertainment industry and provides equitable opportunities for all artists to showcase their abilities.

Cookin’ In the Kitchen- New Work Incubator:
This program supports emerging playwrights by providing a platform for stage readings and essential production resources. It offers a nurturing environment for new scripts, facilitating everything from script development to casting. Additionally, we connect playwrights with industry leaders to enhance exposure and foster professional growth. Cookin’ in the Kitchen is dedicated to empowering playwrights and enriching our cultural landscape through new artistic expressions.

K-Studio:
This program offers specialized coaching and creative consulting to actors in theatre, film, and television. K Studio’s curriculum fosters professional growth and artistic excellence, aligning with educational purposes under tax-exempt guidelines.
BlackLight Class Series:
An innovative educational framework designed to support and elevate emerging artists. Through seminars, workshops, and classes led by seasoned professionals, participants engage in various topics, from monologue construction to managing an art business. Small class sizes ensure intimate learning environments for personalized instruction and deeper engagement.
Virtual BlackLight Podcast:
